Misty Vol.2

Misty Vol.2 is a video game in the adventure genre developed by Data West and published by Data West originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on Sharp X68000.

Misty Vol.2 is a detective mystery adventure game set in modern-day Japan and starring young private investigator Ryū Kamishiro. The game consists of five unrelated cases that can be accessed in any order from the main menu. These cases range from seemingly mundane matters to robberies, mysterious disappearances and murder investigations.

This volume contains the following cases: In the Midst of a Fateful Joke, Corpse from Heaven, Judging Heaven, Do You Believe in God, and The Edge of Ambition.

The game consists largely of text descriptions and dialogue, although some locations and scenes are accompanied by sparse black-and-white digitized photos. The player is presented with a text list of city locations, and much of the game is spent repeatedly visiting them, searching areas and interrogating suspects.

The player receives points based on the efficiency and speed of the investigation. It is possible to accuse suspects and attempt to solve the case at any time, although doing so without sufficient evidence will result in failure. The game saves the progress automatically; it is only possible to restart the investigation by deleting the save file.
