Description ML Otra

Between 1987 and 1990, Bob Lancaster wrote 6 games that he released under the name 'MicroLink', a PC user group to which he belonged. All the games feature simple ASCII character graphics, but the excellent gameplay and variety of options make them stand the test of time.

ML Otra is a simple but fun clone of Simon, a popular handheld electronic memory game from the 1970s that challenges you to play an increasing sequence of flashing lights and musical tones, using four colored buttons. Another is a computerized memory game that follows the spirit of the Simon game.

It is played in rounds, each faster than the last and requiring a longer sequence of panels to complete. Points are accumulated for each correct panel and bonus points are given for completing a sequence. At the end of the four rounds, the player with the highest score wins.

Like other Bob Lancaster games, ML Otra is simple, but fun, especially when competing against other human players. It's nothing original, but the excellent execution and plethora of options make it a quality free game. Recommended, especially for the younger members of the household.
