Gameplay Mokowe

Description Mokowe

Mokowe is a first-person adventure game set in the Mokowe settlement in Kenya in May 1975. The player is an intrepid adventurer who has been contacted by Professor Wilson to join an elephant protection group. The local police in Mokowe have contacted the professor about a network of poachers who systematically kill elephants. The protagonist quickly jumps into a plane to assist in the operation.

The game uses similar mechanics to the author's previous game, La secte noire. The game consists of several single-screen locations in which you explore, collect and use objects, solve puzzles, and talk to characters. The environment takes up most of the center of the screen, with the permanent background behind it. In the upper left corner, you can see your movement options based on compass points. Also at the top is a box for the current date and time. The text parser, where all commands are entered, is at the bottom. Basic commands are entered for moving, picking up objects and performing actions. A separate key is used to display the inventory. Below the parser, text is displayed that serves as an explanation and feedback for the player's actions.

A distinctive element of the game is the role of time zones. There are actions that can only be performed during day or night. It is also possible to perform an action called 'attendre' (wait), which allows the player to wait for time to pass. This game can be saved on a separate disk.
