Another Windmill Software game 'inspired' by the arcade originals, Moon Bugs is a cheeky Galaxian clone that, unfortunately, brings little to the tried and tested 'shoot every alien you come across' concept.
Your objective is to defend Earth from invading insects descending from the top of the screen. That's about it, and there's no variety in the game to make things more interesting either. It's just shoot, shoot, shoot until you get bored of bugs that are several pixels wide.
Quite a disappointment compared to similar games like Cosmic Crusader or even Galaxian itself. Later Windmill games, especially Digger, greatly improve on the original concepts. Even Cosmic Crusader's 4-color CGA graphics are more detailed than this game's EGA.
