Moonquake is a video game in the strategy genre and published by Archimedes World originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on Acorn 32-bit.
Moonquake is a Bomberman variant with one and two player modes. Players are experts in rock blasting and salvage operations, whose mission is to prevent the destruction of the moon by removing all rocks that interfere with the moon's ventilation system. This is done by placing bombs to remove all rocks. There are two types of reactors in the base and the player must be careful with them. The red and blue reactors can be defeated with one shot, but the yellow and green ones must not be hit all the way through. If too many of them are hit, a large atomic bomb will explode. You can also find security droids around the base whose control circuits have been disabled. You can destroy them with bombs, but contact with them is fatal. The player's backpack can initially produce a low-power bomb. However, by collecting energy cells, multiple bombs with more power and range can be placed. Some energy cells also have unknown effects, such as becoming invincible for a short period of time or stopping time. In multiplayer mode, the objective is to kill the second player.
