Moraff's Tempt-Tris

Moraff's Tempt-Tris is a video game in the action genre developed by Moraffware and published by Moraffware originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on DOS.

In a move that makes the game's options menu as formidable and labyrinthine as Moraffware's signature selection of video modes, Tempt-Tris not only includes two different games in one, but also provides two separate variants of each sub-game, and then a selection of options and game modes for each sub-game. The following are included:Tempt-Tris - a Tetris variant, in which you rotate and place falling blocks to fill in and remove horizontal rows. It features 9 different selectable field sizes, three difficulty levels, and one- and two-player modes. It's not all tetraminos: the higher levels will throw increasingly extravagant block shapes at you. Two-player mode is simultaneous: two blocks fall at a time (one for each player), and stack in the same pile.Centris - As above, but here the blocks don't fall: they pop up in the center of the field, and can be stacked anywhere. Each piece must be placed within a time limit. Both rows and columns will be removed when completed, and the existing stack on that side will 'fall' from the center of the screen. Centris inherits Tempt-Tris's choice of gameplay options (as well as its penchant for noisy, color-palette backgrounds).Blocxade - a trap action game: each level has four rooms, filled with square, pushable blocks (which provide the only link to Tempt-Tris, however tenuous). Killer robots roam among them, which you have to catch by surrounding and smashing them with blocks. Collect power-ups and you can push more blocks at a time. Non-robot annoyances include balls that bounce and weaken blocks, and demons and fireballs that take health and lives. Logicade - a variation of Blocxade, which doesn't really involve more (or less) logic. There is only one room per level and only robot enemies to contend with, although their number increases rapidly as you progress. Otherwise, the rules are identical to those of Blocxade.
