Mountie Mick's Deathride is a platform game in which the player takes on the role of Mountie Mick, who has to stop bandits from robbing nine trains. The screen automatically scrolls from right to left, which means he has to keep moving until he reaches the front of the train. Then you get on a wheelbarrow to move to the next level.
There are many obstacles along the way, for example, jumps between wagons, gas leaks or dark tunnels. Gas masks and collected torches help to survive the latter two. However, most of the time Mick has to deal with the bandits themselves. These try to kill him, but this can be avoided by dodging bullets, shooting back or jumping on their heads. In addition, both sides have grenades at their disposal.
