Nexzr

Nexzr is a video game in the action genre developed by Inter State Co., Ltd. and published by Naxat Soft originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on TurboGrafx CD.

In the year 2012 an alien armada attacked Earth. Two young pilots were in the midst of battle and one of them, a charming young woman, died. Three years later, the surviving pilot finally had the chance to avenge her death. In command of a powerful new fighter ship called 'Slasher', the pilot ventured into space, ready to bring destruction to those who took so much from him.

Nexzr is a vertical scrolling shoot-em-up similar to Super Star Soldier. The player-controlled spaceship starts with a simple Vulcan cannon that can only fire in a straight line. Various power-ups can improve the power of this gun, replace it with a laser weapon or add a secondary weapon (recon fire, fine scatter laser attacks, etc. ), which is automatically activated. Mid and final level bosses are found in almost every scenario. Additional lives can be collected, but the player always starts over from the beginning of the stage when his fighter ship is destroyed.
