Description Olympic Decathlon

A simulation of the 10-event Olympic Decathlon , this first game was basically a series of 10 arcade games in a row. The player used the keyboard to control the character's speed in a race or when to throw the javelin, for example. Decathlon also had a training mode that allowed any of the events to be played individually.

A nice feature of the game was that up to six players could play in hot seat mode. Several of the events were one player at a time, but many of the races were two players at a time, allowing you to compete live. Scoring was based on your performance in each event and the player with the highest total at the end received the gold medal. The ultimate challenge was to try to beat Bruce Jenner, winner of the decathlon at the 1976 games.
