Description On the Bench
On the Bench is a soccer management game in which your objective is to manage a team from the top four divisions of English soccer to become champions, as well as winning cups over several seasons. After selecting your team, increasing the capacity of your pitch and viewing your pre-season accounts, you are presented with a main menu of options. Here you can view your squad, sell any player or select players, train certain parts of the squad or train them all, look at your fixtures, table and stats, and finally ask for other players to buy.
Once you are satisfied with your selections, you can watch the next match, which is text only. A clock counts up and any major incidents that occur are displayed. Once the match is over, you look at your weekly scores before preparing for your next match.
