Panorama Cotton

Panorama Cotton is a video game in the action genre developed by Success Corp. and published by Sun Corporation originally released in 1994. It is currently playable on Genesis.

The fairy kingdom has long been threatened by the dark witch Lana, the leader of the Dark Ripple. Queen Velvet sends the pretty fairy Silk to seek the help of the red-haired witch Cotton, the only one who could defeat Lana. Cotton accepts on one condition: she will receive some willows as a reward, since willows are her favorite food. Finally, after defeating Lana, Cotton realizes that someone poisoned the promised willows, and swears revenge. Accompanied by Silk, she begins to pursue the mysterious enemy.

Panorama Cotton is a pseudo-3D scrolling shooter reminiscent of Space Harrier, set in an anime-style fantasy world. Various levels scroll 'inside the screen', vertically, horizontally or diagonally. The player can move Cotton around the screen, shooting approaching enemies and avoiding obstacles in his path. Cotton can upgrade his weapon to higher levels as the player progresses through the game, and can also cast magic spells by collecting special items.
