Description Phantoms Five
Phantoms Five is a vertical scrolling action game in which the player controls a plane and has to bomb various targets under it. The plane is put on autopilot and moves forward automatically, and the player only controls horizontal movement with a paddle. Points are earned for hitting targets such as headquarters, fuel depots, post offices and roads. There are also some targets to avoid, such as Red Cross hospitals and prisoner-of-war camps. Hitting these targets results in a loss of points. At the same time, the player must watch out for anti-aircraft gun fire. If hit, he will lose a life and restart at a lower level.
Sometimes the player encounters enemy fighter planes. The game then switches to a first-person perspective where the player aims left and right with the shovel and has to shoot down the fighters with the machine gun before they shoot him down.
