Police Quest 3: The Kindred is a video game in the adventure genre developed by Sierra On-Line, Inc. and published by Sierra On-Line, Inc. originally released in 1991. It is currently playable on DOS.

Sonny Bonds, the sergeant of the Lytton police department, thought he could finally enjoy a quiet life with his wife Marie after drug lord Jessie Bains has been locked up for good. However, a series of gruesome murders perpetrated by a sinister cult known as 'The Kindred' shocks the town. Marie falls victim to their attack and falls into a coma. Sonny's personal mission is to find the attackers and make them pay for their crimes.

The Kindred is the third installment of the Police Quest series, whose events take place after those described in The Vengeance. The game recaptures some of the elements of the first game, such as a modified version of the driving sequences and police procedures unrelated to the main plot that the protagonist must go through. Special emphasis is placed on computer work, requiring the player to perform tasks such as using facial composition programs or figuring out murder patterns by studying a map. Like other Sierra adventures of the time, the game uses an icon-based interface to interact with the environment.
