Description Power Plays
ZX Spectrum game Power Plays was released in 1987. The game is set in a future where the world is controlled by five mega-corporations, each with their own private armies. The player takes the role of a mercenary who is hired by one of these corporations to carry out missions against the others.
The game is a side-scrolling shooter in which the player must fight through waves of enemies to reach the end of each level. Along the way, the player can collect power-ups to improve their weapons and armor. The game is split into five stages, each of which is set in a different location and has its own unique enemies.
Power Plays was well-received upon its release, with critics praising its graphics, gameplay, and overall fun factor. It remains a popular game today, and is considered a classic of the ZX Spectrum platform.
