Description Pub Games
Pub Games is a themed compilation of seven games that have been popular in UK public houses (drinking establishments) for decades. This pack is aimed at young teenagers, with an embedded card containing words such as 'Here's your chance to find out what life is like in those smoky places of adulthood'. All games are for two players, with the exception of Foosball, where both players have their own action keys. The games can be played as a 'Complete Pub Games Race ', which takes players through all the games and takes about two hours to complete, or as a practice mode that allows players to select and play in any order.
The scoring for each game is self-explanatory, but in the 'Complete Pub Games Race ' players earn €1 per game, so the winner at the end of the race is the one with the most money.
The games are divided into the two sides of the cassette. Side 1: Menu, Darts, Bar Billiards and Dominoes. Side 2: Foosball, Pontoon, Poker and Bowling.

You must go through it at the start of the game to enter the players' names and choose which mode to use, 'full run' or practice mode.
Darts
The game is played best of three games, starting with 501 or 301 and ending with a double. There is a choice of colors for the dart board. Preset keys are used to position the cursor on the board to make the shot, however the cursor does not stay in one place, it circles erratically, so the skill is in pressing the 'fire' key when it passes over the desired target. All darts hit the board, although it is possible to not score if you miss scoring segments or hit the wire. However, there is no option for female players.
Bar Billiards
This game is played with eight balls (7 white and one red). The object is to pocket any ball through any of the nine holes on the table. The red ball starts on the table and any score made with it on any break is doubled. Any foul, a ball returning to baulk, failing to hit another ball in play, or knocking down a ball, ends and resets the break to zero. As in the 'real' game, for the first ten minutes, thrown balls are returned. After that, balls are not returned and the game continues until all balls have been pocketed. To play this game, predefined keys are used to place the cue ball and the cue stick, and to set the power of the shot. Only one game is played in the pub run and the winner wins €1.
Dominoes
Both players receive a set of dominoes. They are placed face down so that they cannot be seen. As each player takes his turn, he reveals his remaining dominoes, selects one and places it on the board using predefined keys. The best of three games is played and the winner of each game wins €1.
Table soccer
This is the only game that requires two players to use the keyboard at the same time. It is not really a pub game, it is the game you find in amusement parks, arcades, student common rooms and the break room of some enlightened workplaces around the world. It's a game in which players stand on metal bars that slide and twist to block and shoot the ball at a goalie and into a net. Once the ball is kicked, it stays in motion until it is kicked again or a goal is scored. In 'Pub Run' this game is played as a best of three games with nine balls per game and the winner of each game wins €1, the practice mode is best of three games.
Pontoon
Also known as Blackjack. Each player starts with a bet of £10 and can wager between £1 and £5 per hand. Bets are placed and after the second card is dealt players may turn, hit or buy. No hitting below 16 is allowed. The game is played as ten consecutive hands for each player and in the 'Pub Run, the final kitty is added to your score, so this is a game where a player can jump ahead of his opponent.
Poker
Here the player is again given a £10 bet and is dealt a series of ten consecutive hands. Players do not compete against each other, but bet on the hand they can get. The game pays 2-1 for a pair, 4-1 for two pair, 6-1 for a flush, 8-1 for a prial (three of a kind), 10-1 for a run, full house, or four of a kind, and 20-1 for a straight flush. Again, in the 'Pub Run, the final pot is added to your score, which means that a good win here with a high-value hand could be all a player needs to win the pot.
