Jageun Manyeo

Jageun Manyeo ('Little Witch') is a hybrid of platformer and role-playing game. The main character is a girl who lives with her mother in a quiet village, but wanders into dangerous realms in her quest to become a full-fledged sorceress. Visually and gameplay-wise, the game resembles Popful Mail; however, the RPG element is more pronounced and includes experience points awarded for defeating enemies, resulting in character growth. The heroine can only fight enemies with various magic spells, which deplete her MP bar. In addition to experience, enemies also grant her gold, which can be used in towns to buy support and restoration items. Towns (and sometimes hostile areas as well) contain friendly non-player characters that the little witch can talk to. Instead of having one continuous world, the game is divided into areas, which can be accessed from a world map and are approached in a linear fashion. Hostile areas consist of platforming systems and tend to be quite labyrinthine. Game progress can be saved at any time.

Zis the Adventure

Zis the Adventure is a colorful Korean-made platformer starring a young boy named Zis who finds a letter sealed in a bottle and travels to the magical land of Lysnia to rescue its inhabitants from evil pirates. The protagonist's default weapon is a slingshot that can hit targets from afar. Watermelons scattered throughout the stages grant the hero various disguises when shooting, each of which grants him a unique weapon. These special weapons include a yo-yo that can kill an enemy with a single hit; a wizard costume that allows the boy to tap his hat to release a swarm of birds; stars that act as homing missiles, etc. Diamonds and candies can be collected to increase the health of Zis (represented by hearts), who moves on to the next stage. Many stages introduce various challenges, the most recurrent being the collection of keys to open doors, which appears in several stages. In some stages the child can also float in the air for a while with a small umbrella and can attach ropes to the upper platforms and climb up them. There are also slides, hats that propel the child to otherwise inaccessible platforms, pencils that draw platforms when activated, floating cushions and other special objects. The stages include a scrolling shooter level and a stage in which Zis rides a dolphin. The game consists of six 'worlds' that the player must complete in a linear fashion, each spanning three stages. There are no boss battles in the game. There is no ability to save the player's progress; however, unless the player quits the game, they can choose to replay any stage already completed with an unlimited number of continues, even after the protagonist runs out of all their lives.
