Arctic Adventure is one of the first Apogee games designed by George Broussard.
The game is similar to Monument of Mars and Pharaoh's Tomb: an exploration game that combines elements of different genres. In the game, you have to collect spikes to destroy ice, keys to open doors and avoid monsters.
It is similar to Apogee's later action games, although much more simplistic. The action is seen from a bird's eye view, and the graphics are adequate given the 4-color limitation of the CGA.
A nice little game with convoluted level design that demonstrates Apogee's ability to create fun, unobtrusive shareware titles of various genres that can measure up to the best commercial games. thumbs up!

"Bio Menace" is a sidescrolling action platformer game released by Apogee Software in 1993. The player controls the protagonist, Mike, who must save the world from an alien invasion by stopping the production of a mutagen agent called Bio-Weapon X-13.
The game is set across three episodes, each with seven levels. In the first episode, Mike must infiltrate the aliens' base in the Amazon rainforest and destroy their mutagen production facilities. In the second episode, he travels to New York City to stop the aliens from releasing Bio-Weapon X-13 into the city's water supply. In the third and final episode, Mike goes to the Moon to stop the aliens from using a giant laser to destroy the Earth.
"Bio Menace" is a challenging game with tight controls and a high difficulty level. The player must contend with enemies that are often much stronger and faster than Mike, as well as platforming sections that require precise timing and execution. However, the game is also very rewarding, with a satisfying sense of progress as the player completes each level and inch closer to saving the world.
"Bio Menace" is a classic DOS game that is still enjoyable to play today. It's a challenging and rewarding experience that any fan of action platformers should check out.
