Powerstyx

Amiga 1988
Powerstyx is a variant of Qix. The player controls a dot that moves across the screen and leaves a beam of energy behind it. If a closed figure is drawn, a part of the image behind it is revealed. There are also monsters, moving in the revealed or unrevealed parts, which cause the player to lose a life if he touches the sprite or crosses an unfinished beam. Randomly appearing bonus symbols give extras when they become visible in a newly revealed area. Possible effects are an extra life, instant death, acceleration, time, extra points or winning the level instantly. Letters are picked up in the same way, but are collected at the bottom of the screen: if you spell out a complete word, you win the level. The usual way to finish one of the 15 levels is to reveal 75% of the screen.

Spinworld

Amiga 1988
In Spinworld the player takes control of a spaceship with two crew members, Ronald and Joe, which is sent to explore the planet Spinworld. The game is a side-scrolling shooter in which the player has to shoot everything that moves and must avoid touching the environment. However, it is not advised to use rapid fire, as the gun may overheat. A specialty is fuel, which must be replenished before it runs out. To do this, the player must shoot enemies until the 'crunch' is activated, which can be converted to fuel in so-called 'tunnels'. There are seven levels.
