Fuzzy Worm

DOS 1982
Fuzzy Worm is a Centipede-style shooter, very similar to the arcade original. Once again, a pastoral mushroom patch plays as an unlikely host to the casual mass destruction of small animals. Your weapon moves freely around the lower section of the playing field, and your mission is to defend your little piece of nature from vermin rape. The multi-segmented worm weaves a winding path in your general direction; if it reaches the bottom alive, new segments may appear. Once you finish him off, a 1-bit La Cucaracha interpretation will accompany you to the next wave. Your other enemies are the spider, the mushroom-throwing flea and the poisonous scorpion: you'll earn points by condemning them to a sticky death, but each shot costs one point, so you'll have to make them count. The game features six difficulty levels and two different versions, one in graphic mode and one in text mode, so that users of the original IBM MDA are not left out.
