Election Trail
Election Trail allows you to campaign to become the President of the United States of America on behalf of the Republican Party while the computer or another player fights against you for the Democratic Party for 20 terms. The screen consists of a map of the United States and has two separately displayed parts, a state map and a region map with each map having several options to choose from. Also on the screen is the number of periods elapsed and the amount of funds you have, which starts at 100.
You start the game by choosing a state as your home and after viewing the state of your opponents, you switch to the state map. You can choose from four options: hold a rally (in the selected state), go on a campaign tour (in the selected region), campaign in the media (in the selected region), and invite to a public debate where you are asked some policy questions, such as whether you are in favor of tax reforms. After making a selection, you are presented with a map of the region and four more options, Seek support (international, movie star, press and home state), Attempt to raise funds, Ask for an opinion poll and Call a press conference. Once you have made your choice, you will watch the other player make your choice before returning to try to raise votes and funds.
Fame Quest
Fame Quest is not a game about becoming a rock star or movie star, but about being a humble Knight in times of yore trying to get enough fame from the land to enter the Royal Court in this adventure game. You have to get out of a castle and explore the land by talking to and helping the locals, as well as fighting wizards, dragons and creatures, in your quest to become a twentieth grade Knight.
The screen is divided into five blocks, one at the top, three in the middle and one at the bottom, which allow you to view various objects and control your Knight. Block one shows you the available actions, such as interacting with your location or moving your Knight, block two shows the person or creature you are interacting with. Block three is a map of the area showing castles, houses, trees and mysterious places, block four shows your knight and the amount of fame needed to increase your fame. Finally, block five shows you the amount of gold and fame you have, as well as the weapons you carry.
You start in a castle and here you have the options of asking for help, buying or upgrading weapons, getting a new knight grade or selling the equipment you have. Once you have made your choices, you can leave the castle and start exploring the terrain. You move north, south, east or west, and as you move you will encounter various people or creatures. You can attack them, run away or talk to them, but you need a weapon if you attack and sometimes you won't be able to run away. If you talk they may give you a quest, ask you for a favor or just attack you. Some actions will lead you to receive more fame but they can also take some away from you.
The buildings you enter can be empty or have a person or creature to interact with. The castles you enter will give you the same options as your initial castle and remember to have food and keep eating or you will weaken and die.
