A great, if vastly underrated, space strategy game, Iron Seed is reminiscent of the venerable classic Starflight series in its breadth and scope, but focuses more on strategic and tactical issues than that classic.
The numerous planets and options ensure almost infinite replayability, and the numerous ship designs and crew selection allow for a different style of play. A highly recommended game that is a precursor to SimTex's Master of Orion in spirit, if not in name.
