Utopos
From Finland, the land of cave flyers, comes a two-player cave flying game called Utopos. In a split-screen view, you and a partner control a small rocket in a narrow, trap-filled cave system, trying to give chase to the other. Each player starts at his or her starting ramp (in fact, there are several), which is also armed with an anti-aircraft gun that can rotate at will while the rocket is on the ground.
In addition to the two-player one-on-one mode, there is a 'race' mode in which the two players race around the screen, passing checkpoints along the way.
For single player, there is a 'seek and destroy' mode, in which all enemies in a level must be destroyed, after which a port to the next level opens.
To make the game more durable, there are several levels to fly through, and an assortment of different bombs and projectiles with which to arm ships, as well as an afterburner that can be installed in place of a weapon.
