Shuihuzhuan

Genesis 1996
This is a strategy role-playing game based on the events of the famous Chinese classic novel 'Shuihuzhuan' (Water Margins, also known as Outlaws of the Swamp), which tells the story of 108 heroes who fought against the corrupt regime of the Song Dynasty (12th century). You take control of a group led by Song Jiang, a famous thief and leader of the heroes, who starts out as the young Zhao He. Your city is under attack by imperial soldiers, and your long quest for freedom begins with this battle... The game is a console-style turn-based strategy RPG. The game consists mainly of large battles, but you can also move your characters from a top-down perspective, enter buildings, buy things, and travel from city to city on the world map. During battles, you move your characters freely around and attack or cast magic when enemies are within range.

Yase Zhuanshuo

Genesis 1995
Yase Zhuanshuo, also known as Rise of Yase, is a side-scrolling platformer game that was released for the Sega Genesis console in 1995. Developed by DreamWorks and published by the prestigious game company, Sega, Yase Zhuanshuo quickly gained popularity among gamers and has since become a classic in the 16-bit gaming world. The game is set in ancient China and follows the story of a brave warrior named Yase, who is on a quest to defeat the evil demon lord, Daimyo, and rescue the princess from his clutches. The player takes on the role of Yase, navigating through various levels and battling enemies using his sword and magical abilities. One of the standout features of Yase Zhuanshuo is its stunning graphics. The developers put a lot of effort into creating a visually appealing game, with vibrant and detailed environments and smooth animations. The background music and sound effects also add to the immersive experience, making players feel like they are truly on an adventure in ancient China. The gameplay of Yase Zhuanshuo is challenging but extremely satisfying. The levels are well-designed and require players to use both their platforming and combat skills to progress. As Yase, players can use his sword to attack enemies, as well as perform special moves and spells that can be unlocked as they progress through the game. The game also features boss battles, where players must face Daimyo's generals before finally confronting the demon lord himself in a final showdown. These boss battles are not only visually impressive but also require strategy and quick reflexes to defeat. Each boss has unique attack patterns, making the battles more diverse and engaging. Apart from the main story mode, Yase Zhuanshuo also offers a multiplayer mode where players can compete against each other in a race to complete levels and defeat enemies. This added feature provides endless replay value as players can challenge their friends and see who is truly the best warrior.
