Drake Snake and the Secret Crypt is a platform game in which the player controls the eponymous Drake, who arrived in Africa hoping to find treasure. His plane crashes in the middle of the jungle and Drake finds himself inside a cave complex.
Drake explores the 13 levels of subway caverns and tries to find his way out while avoiding or killing the enemies inside. Enemy creatures include man-eating plants, spiders, birds and scorpions. Some enemies kill Drake instantly, while others simply take his health (not to mention that Drake's health slowly decreases steadily). Drake's main assets are: his jetpack, which allows him to fly (but has limited fuel), a pistol (with limited ammo) and bombs that can be placed on the ground. Some walls can be blown up with bombs.
