In Stormtrooper, the player assumes the role of a soldier who has to kill a mad scientist. This is a traditional horizontal scrolling action game in which the player controls the protagonist as he shoots everything that gets in his way. In addition to shooting enemies, there are also ladders to climb, door controls to destroy, and sometimes platforms to jump over. At the bottom of the screen is a radar that indicates when there is a fast droid on the way that needs to be jumped.
