Chinese Chess Master is an excellent and simple Chinese chess program that has all the features one would expect in this type of game, from options to rewind or fast forward moves, save the game in progress, and different difficulty levels.
The game's AI is quite tough even at the medium difficulty level (4 or 5), and will provide a good challenge for chess experts. The only bad thing about the game is that the computer takes an inordinate amount of time to move on the higher difficulty levels, although fortunately you can reduce the time limit in the middle of the game.
Overall, a polished little gem that deserves to be played by all Chinese chess enthusiasts. However, the lack of a tutorial or hint mode may deter newbies from trying it out.
