Zelenhgorm: Episode I - Land of the Blue Moon
Zelenhgorm: Episode I - Land of the Blue Moon was planned as the first in a series of adventure games. Subsequently three more episodes were planned, but never released.
Zelenholm is a fantasy continent with Earth-like properties. The players meet the Dalek people and discover that their dress, dwellings and environment are clearly early Scandinavian in style. In this civilization there is superstition, folklore, magic and science.
The player controls Aric Vahaylor, a young man living in the fishing village of Senava who invents strange machines in his garden. One day, two strange events shake his daily life: a huge ship runs aground on the river bank near his garden and a sleeping lighthouse begins to glow again. And the lighthouse begins to shine again. The journey to uncover the mystery of the huge ship and the truth of his dream begins.
The game is played from a first-person perspective, using prerendered backgrounds, although the scenarios represent the characters in their daily lives. Although the player cannot interact with the characters on screen, they react when Arrikk passes nearby. Only when the protagonist moves or during special images, the view switches to a third-person perspective.
The cast includes more than 140 live actors, most of whom appeared in the 'Star Wars' films. Full motion video allows the viewer to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. All controls are performed with the mouse, except for the ESC key on the keyboard, which calls up the main menu. When talking to numerous characters a drop-down menu appears. The inventory window on the bottom screen is opened by right-clicking and closed by left-clicking. In addition, inventory items can be combined, which is necessary to solve many of the game's puzzles.
