The Diamond Mystery of Rosemond Valley
Eighteen-year-old Emma has just finished school and gets a job as a clerk at the Rosemond Valley Post. The editor-in-chief asks her to investigate Rosemond Valley's famous daughter, Hollywood actress Kit Grace, who is visiting town and staying at the Grand Hotel. Emma quickly discovers that Kit Grace is not her real name and that her relatives are still living in Rosemond Valley.
She also learns of an unsolved jewelry theft that took place some 20 years ago. Jack Griffin, the former caretaker of the Rosemond Valley Museum, was convicted of the theft, but the gems were never found. Inspector Parker, who arrested him, disappeared shortly after the trial. Emma becomes involved in the case when a stranger leaves a note about the theft.
In the course of her search, Emma learns of Kit Grace's secret past and begins to suspect that he may have had something to do with the theft. But there are several other suspects, including a colleague at the newspaper, and Emma must uncover many secrets before she can solve the mystery.
The Diamond Mystery of Rosemond Valley is a third-person detective game consisting of seven chapters; movement in the 3D game world is controlled with the arrow keys. The game comes with music, sound effects and voices (subtitled and non-skippable). Notes and a travel map are included. The game has no options for changing settings and the save system is limited to 16 slots.
