Koło Szczęścia
Koło Szczęścia (The Wheel of Fortune) was a beloved family favourite when it was first released in 1993 by Polish developer, Stefan Brown. It was inspired by American game show of the same name and gave players the chance to earn a huge cash prize.
Players would enter the virtual studio and find an audience, ready to cheer them on. Before taking their turn, contestants had the chance to purchase extra benefits such as extra vowels, lifelines and spin bonuses. This offered players a real competitive edge.
The basic game dynamic, which was faithful to the TV version, saw players spinning the wheel and guessing the hidden phrase. It was the audiovisual presentation combined with the simple game rules that made the game so entertaining. Every guest had their own uniquely voiced announcer, creating an immersive experience.
When players faced uncertain fortunes or tough decisions, the studio audience could be called upon to give their opinion. This often provided insight and sometimes a hint.
