Heist is a single-screen platformer in which the player takes control of a bank manager whose task is to return all the money bags to the vault on the base floor. The bank consists of several floors connected with stairs and the money bags are spread throughout the bank. However, there is a problem, as four robbers have managed to break into the bank and are now trying to catch the player in order to escape with the money. The robbers also place bombs at random times and when they do, the player only has ten seconds to reach them and defuse them before they explode. If he does so or if the player is touched by one of the intruders, he will lose a life. In the bank there are two hammers that can be used to knock out the robbers and they will be stunned for a random amount of time. However, they can only be used on the floor they are picked up and cannot be taken at the same time as a bag of money. A level is complete when all the bags have been moved to the vault and a short sequence is shown before the bank reopens the next day with more skilled robbers.
