You are on vacation in the Herefordshire countryside for a week, staying in a cottage, sightseeing in the area and talking to the locals. Throughout the week you have heard many stories about the previous owner, who died a month ago from a long illness, and is believed to have buried much of his wealth in the area. Having no living relatives or acquaintances, there is no one to ask to confirm this, so at first you take it with a pinch of salt. However, many locals recall seeing the owner many nights with a box and shovel walking around, so you begin to believe and eventually decide you will try to find the supposed lost wealth. Country Quest is a text adventure in which the screen has text describing your location and you type commands with the keyboard to interact with your surroundings.
