Description Puzzler
Puzzler was released by Atari for the Atari 8-bit computer line in 1983. It was a unique puzzle-solving experience that engaged people for hours. The goal of the game was to try to put together randomly scattered pieces on a square board to form geometric shapes.
Players had to arrange the pieces in the right order and the correct angles in order to construct a shaped figure. The goal of the game was to build the most pieces within the time limit. Depending on the difficulty level, players had to find the quickest way to assemble images by using creative problem-solving skills.
The Puzzler game offered two types of play, Arcade and Design. Arcade was a timed game with two levels, each one becoming more complex as they progressed. Design allowed players to build custom shapes on the main grid and test their ability to solve intricate mazes.
Players gradually increased their score by positioning the pieces faster and completed shapes with bricks from their inventory. Additionally, players had the chance to earn bonus points and extra pieces while powering up their scoring meter during gameplay.
Challenging levels, fast-paced action, clever gameplay and bonus reward incentive made Puzzler a fantastic game. Players who enjoyed games, such as Qix and Thrust, also appreciated the infinite possibilities that Puzzler had. Fans of the genre can reminisce back to the original Puzzler 8-bit excellence from 1983.
