Quest for Tanda

Quest for Tanda is a video game in the role-playing (rpg) genre originally released in 1991. It is currently playable on Atari ST.

Quest for Tanda is a role-playing game based on the Myth series by Robert Asprins written in GFA Basic.

You are one of the knights of Aahz and your daughter, Tanda, has been kidnapped. It is the evil Istvan who is behind this and is demanding a ransom of 1,000,000 gold. Now it is your job to rescue her. You can choose to play as one of three characters: Skeeve, Garkin or Frumple. Your adventure takes place in the land of Khlad, a land with two castles and six cities. A grid divides the map into 8 x 7 squares. In the main menu of the game you can select the action you want: Rest, eat, drink, move, cast a spell, check your stats or remember your mission. After each movement there can be a combat.

There are two difficulty levels: hard and easy. If you select hard you have to search for the ship (Istvan lives on an island) by going to various villages and listening to the clues offered by the townspeople. If you select easy you can ignore that and go directly to the village on the North Peninsula and someone there will tell you how to defeat Istvan.
