Quick Draw McGraw

Quick Draw McGraw is a video game in the action genre developed by PAL Developments and published by Hi-Tec Software Ltd. originally released in 1991. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

Quick Draw McGraw is a side-view horizontal scrolling game based on the Hanna Barbera cartoon character in which the screen constantly scrolls from right to left. You control Quick Draw whose mission is to protect various trains from being attacked and robbed by various characters by running along the top or side of the cars of each train to reach the locomotive at the front. While running and shooting or avoiding characters you must also jump over gaps to avoid falling to the ground, but the gaps can be used to get to the bottom of the train. If you fall to the ground you keep running on the side but you can't get back on the train or move forward and when you touch the left of the screen you have to try that train again from the beginning.

In addition to the characters, there are obstacles to avoid, such as smoke and birds, and if you touch an obstacle, a character or get shot, you lose part of a meter and when it empties, it's game over. In various parts of the train there are cars you can enter, and this becomes a first-person shooter game where bad guys or grannies appear and you have to shoot the bad guys before they shoot you or you lose part of your now full meter. If you shoot a granny, you lose part of your meter and when you shoot that many bad guys, you go back to the top of the train. When you get to the front locomotive then you must shoot while dodging a big character and when you get shot enough it allows you to go to the next train.
