Description Rectangle
Rectangle is essentially a variation of Konami's Quarth with some Arkanoid-style elements.
The basic plot takes place on a single screen: the player controls a small character at the bottom of the screen who can move to the left and right of the playing field. Tetris-like block shapes descend from the top of the screen. The player can shoot projectiles that turn into square units when they come into contact with the blocks.
The object of the game is to form Rectangles or squares by filling in the remaining space in the vertical, or horizontal level of the blocks to score points, and when all are removed, the next level is unlocked. Some blocks contain a power-up that is constantly activated and, if converted, will cause an extra collectible to drop, for example, giving the ability to clear blocks with a single shot, to speed up the player's movement and shots, or even to transform the player's sprite into a bat and ball for a Breakout-inspired gameplay.
The game is divided into phases, called worlds, consisting of three levels, of which each world has a unique visual theme. Successful completion of each world gives a six-digit code for further advancement.
