Relics is a PC-98 game released in 1986 that has captured the hearts of gamers for its unique gameplay and captivating storyline. Developed by Quasar Soft, it is an action-adventure game that combines elements of role-playing and puzzle-solving, making it a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the Earth has been ravaged by a mysterious catastrophe. As the player, you take on the role of a brave adventurer, exploring the wasteland in search of ancient relics that hold powerful secrets. The graphics of Relics are simple, yet striking, with detailed backgrounds that enhance the immersive atmosphere of the game.

With its non-linear gameplay, Relics allows players to make their own choices and shape their own journey. The world map is vast and full of surprises, with hidden treasures and dangers lurking in every corner. You'll encounter a variety of enemies and obstacles on your quest, from mutated creatures to treacherous traps, each one presenting a unique challenge.

One of the most intriguing aspects of Relics is its dynamic combat system. Instead of traditional turn-based battles, the game adopts a real-time combat approach, adding an element of strategy and adrenaline to the gameplay. As you progress, you'll acquire new weapons and upgrade your skills, making you a formidable force against your enemies.

Alongside the combat, Relics also features intricate puzzles that will test your wit and logic. These puzzles are cleverly integrated into the game's storyline, requiring you to think outside the box and use your acquired relics to progress. The puzzles range from simple brain teasers to complex conundrums that will keep you engaged for hours.

The game's storyline is another aspect that sets it apart from other PC-98 games of its time. It is a multi-layered and thought-provoking narrative that unfolds as you collect relics and uncover new information about the apocalypse. Each relic you find reveals a piece of the puzzle, giving you insight into the events that led to the downfall of civilization.
