Requiem: Avenging Angel is a video game in the action genre developed by Cyclone Studios and published by 3DO Company, The originally released in 1999. It is currently playable on Windows.

The Fallen were a group of angels who mistakenly believed that God was upset with Earth's corruption and wanted to destroy it. Even after being banished from Heaven, the Fallen continued to adhere to their belief. They have been biding their time in the realm of Chaos, waiting for their moment to attack humanity.

Finally, that time has come, and the Fallen have taken control of the minds of Earth's leaders and police forces, using them to establish a world government, oppressing the population into submission. In addition, the Fallen are experimenting with Earth's first interstellar vessel, the Leviathan, which was originally created to explore beyond the solar system. Earth's new leaders seem to have other plans for the ship, which they are redesigning toward some unknown purpose. Finally, an angel named Malachi is sent to Earth to stop the sinister plans of the Fallen and their human followers, and save humanity.

Requiem: Avenging Angel is a first-person shooter in which the player controls Malachi, exploring predominantly urban environments and fighting human, robotic and demonic enemies. Some areas of the city of New Damascus, where most of the action takes place, form one seamless location rather than being divided into levels. Most of the stages are populated by enemies, although some locations feature friendly characters, such as members of a rebel organization who send Malachi on missions.

Although equipped with a variety of standard 'secular weapons', what really sets Malachi apart are his angelic powers, which function similarly to the force powers in Jedi Knight. Although the transition to mortal form has cost him his powers, he gradually regains them. Once he regains them, he has the ability to shoot lightning from his hand, regenerate his health, fly through the air, possess the bodies of others, and even resurrect the dead to fight on his side.

For the most part, the game attempts to be a 'cinematic' first-person shooter like Half-Life, with scripting, conversations with non-player characters, and an evolving plot revealed through the game engine.
