Road. Wage is an action racing game. The setting is a street environment, but cars can only move forward and change lanes, not turn in different directions. It consists of multiple levels with the goal of always delivering the type of cargo before time runs out. There are a variety of vehicles available with slightly different stats such as acceleration, braking, value, deductions, mass, top speed and endurance.

The race is hectic as you are allowed to reach the destination quickly. Cars can be avoided by changing lanes, but you can also ram or shoot them. There are pickups along the way such as extra money, extra time, transparency, repairs and nitro. Cars can take damage and you have to keep them in good condition. At some point you can activate tank rage, which quickly launches the car and turns it into a powerful tank unaffected by collisions. You can also place inflated passengers on top of the car. To get a high score, you must reach your destination quickly.
