A fun little Lode Runner clone, Roboman is a good example of a game that does nothing to advance the genre of collecting things and finding the exit, but effectively implements the tried-and-true formula with elegant simplicity. The idea is simple: move Roboman to pop various balloons in the level and find a key that activates the exit door. You earn bonus points if you pop all the balloons in the level, and there are quite a few nice touches, such as the trampolines you can use to jump to higher levels and the surprises hidden inside the balloons.
Overall, Roboman is a fun game, though it falls a bit short after a while. Better level design could have made it as addictive as Lode Runner or Jumpman. It's worth a look, but probably only for beginners to the genre.
