Rock and Bach Studio

Rock and Bach Studio is a video game in the simulation genre developed by Artech Digital Entertainments, Inc. and published by Binary Zoo Software, Inc. originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on DOS.

Rock and Bach Studio is the third game in the Adventures with Edison educational series. The game focuses on famous classical music composers.

The plot revolves around a studio that produces music video clips. Accompanied by Edison, the player participates in the entire life cycle of such production. First, the rock band is created, consisting of 4 members (soloist, bass, drums and chord). Next, a song is selected from a list or composed from riffs and chords. Based on the song, the video is produced using three aspects such as camera view, background and special effects. The song and video contain 16 cycles, and it is up to the player to customize them. When the video clip is finished, it can be viewed in the studio theater or sent to another profile in the game. There are four predefined video clips created by Edison himself.

Before the video is produced, numerous adjustments can be made, as well as musical feedback. For example, it is possible to adjust the look and sounds of each drum base element, customize the look of the scene for a band, adjust the f/x sound, etc. Guitar riffs with keys and chords can be examined and played. Musical instruments, their history and their place in the symphony orchestra are provided. Musical pieces by eight famous composers can be played on four different instruments.

Each playing profile has its own playing session. Edison's appearance can be adjusted and the progress of the playing session is saved/loaded for each playing profile.
