RS-2 is a fun no-nonsense shooter from leading Taiwanese developer SoftStar. It's your typical top-down shooter, with no innovation, but it excels at what it does: delivering fast-paced action across dozens of levels. The most memorable aspects of the game are the huge end-of-level bosses, the nice power-ups (not the typical laser or shield options) and the solid user controls.
All in all, another fun shooter from Taiwan's most successful game developer. Its above-average difficulty level makes RS-2 a solid challenge for action experts, though don't expect another Tyrian in terms of addictiveness. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended.
