Description Scud Attack
In Scud Attack you are in command of the great defensive power of a linked network of three Patriot ABM batteries, charged with defending your cities against the threat of Scud ballistic missiles.
The Scud missiles will arrive in separate waves, one after the other, each one more threatening than the last. For each wave you have 45 Patriot missiles (distributed among the three bases for safety and redundancy) to repel the incoming Scuds. Your job is to target the Scuds and knock them out of the sky before their deadly warheads reach your precious cities.
At the end of each wave of Scud Attack you will receive bonus points based on how many cities you have successfully defended and how many Patriot missiles you have left over. Those Patriots are expensive, so use them wisely!
The Patriot missiles coming out of each of the bases are not quite identical. The missiles from the center base are faster than those from the outer bases. When you use either mouse button to fire a missile, the computer will make an instant decision on which missile base to use. This may work well for the first few waves, but later on you will probably need to control which base is firing by using the 1, 2, 3 keys instead, to get maximum defensive effectiveness from the missiles.
If you fail to destroy a falling Scud missile, there is still a chance that it will fall harmlessly in the field between your cities. However, if a Scud missile hits one of your cities, it will destroy that city and all its innocent inhabitants. If a Scud missile hits one of your Patriot missile bases, it will destroy all the missiles in that base. It will not be replenished until the next wave of attack.
When all your cities have been bombed, the game is over. See below for how to win a bonus city.
