Scumball

Scumball is a video game in the action genre developed by Software Creations Ltd. and published by Bulldog Software originally released in 1988. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

The city's sewer system has been infested by monsters, and LINDA, a maintenance droid, has been sent to drive them out with her laser gun. The different monsters have different effects on her: some will kill LINDA on sight, while others simply drain her energy. Her energy can be replenished by getting batteries scattered in the sewers. In addition, contact with other hazards, such as water, spike pits and pods, causes her immediate elimination.

LINDA may encounter a giant slime monster while navigating the sewers. Her main objective is to destroy this monster, which takes eight hits to kill. LINDA's laser gun will have no effect on the monster. So she has to collect eight grenades that are scattered in the sewers. LINDA can only carry one grenade at a time.

LINDA starts with five lives, but in the sewers extra lives are granted, as well as bonuses and mysterious objects. A report at the end of the game shows, among other things, kills made, lives lost and collected, completion time, final score and overall progress.
