Sensei was an Apple IIgs game released by Nihon Falcom in 1991. This turn-based strategy title was highly commended by gaming magazines and remained popular in Japan for many years. It follows the story of a young Japanese girl named Yado on her quest to find the hidden magical Scrolls of Wisdom. She is joined by a variety of different characters throughout the game, each with unique skills, abilities and weapons at their disposal.
The game mechanics are slightly unusual for a turn-based strategy title as it offers multiple movement types for your characters rather than just a standard grid-based movement system. You have the option to move your character by walking, running, dashing or teleporting. This freedom of movement makes the game more dynamic and allows for better tactical play.
The game features a total of seven levels set in different locations across the land. Each level consists of various objectives, enemies and resources for you to collect. As you progress through the levels, new and more powerful weapons, equipment and characters become available to you.
