Shadow Skimmer

Shadow Skimmer is a video game in the action genre and published by Edge, The originally released in 1987. It is currently playable on Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC.

The player is the second officer of a spacecraft. He uses the Shadow Skimmer glider to make a routine inspection of the engines. Unfortunately, the main computer malfunctions and shuts down the entry point. Now he needs to get to another hatch, but the defense systems see him as an intruder.

The player has to go through three mazes from top to bottom and find the exit. Unfortunately, you can't go through them until the security systems are deactivated: you need to find and destroy the hidden energy device. Sometimes it is necessary to flip the glider on its back to pass through certain obstacles, but this makes the glider vulnerable to enemy attacks. These, along with collisions with obstacles, decrease the glider's shield energy and when you run out of all three, you lose the game. The glider has a laser for firing. However, a dead enemy is instantly replaced by an indestructible enemy generator.
