Shadow Sorcerer is a game related to the Dragonlance series of novels. The player controls a group of four adventurers who have just rescued 800 slaves and must guide them through the desert before the evil dragon army catches up with them. The game has three levels: Strategic, in which the player must move the refugees safely through the wilderness. Tactical, in which the party explores dungeons and other areas of interest, searching for information and treasures that will aid in the escape. Political, in which players must deal with refugee leaders and convince them to continue following the group. All three take place in real time with the evil dragons constantly nipping at the adventurers' heels and slowly eliminating the fugitives.
