Description Skidmarks

The first installment of the Skidmarks series is a one or two player racing game in the Super Sprint line. There are four different cars to choose from: a rally sports car, a high-powered muscle car, a monster truck and a buggy. There are two sets of six tracks each, each measuring approximately three by two screens. Apart from the usual two-player simultaneous option, where both players play on the same computer, there is a modem link (null) option, which allows four players to compete at the same time. In addition, messages can be sent over the serial line, to provoke the opposing team. Depending on the available memory, there are one, two or four types of cars participating in the race.

An additional AGA upgrade disk, for the Amiga 1200 and 4000 systems, upgrades the game to use subpixel scrolling and makes the sprites high-resolution with greater color depth.
