Description Sláine

The last of the evil Drune wizards who have been ruling Lyonesse is dead. But don't break out the champagne just yet, because his evil power lives on until his name is spoken (which, like that of all Drunes, is a closely guarded secret). The only person who knows is his daughter, who is trapped in the Little Tower of Heaven. This, coupled with the fact that she has a reputation for being beautiful, is all the incentive Slaine needs to find her.

The gameplay system is unusual: known as REFLEX, it is menu-based, but menus appear and disappear in real time, meaning that the game has a constant aspect of pressure and time-sensitivity. You must collect and examine objects, plot your way through Lyonesse, and use your mighty sword when necessary. Slaine must keep an eye on her Warp rating, which drops in unsuccessful fights, but is replenished by physical (ingesting food) or mental factors (the high of winning a battle, or having a streak of time without it), and has a big effect on her performance.
