Gameplay Slime

Description Slime

Slime is a 1982 Atari 8-bit game written by Jeff Minter. It is a shoot 'em up in which the player controls a Slimeblower, a device that can shoot slime at enemies. The goal of the game is to destroy all of the enemies in each level.

The Slimeblower is equipped with two different types of slime: red slime, which is effective against air-based enemies, and green slime, which is effective against ground-based enemies. The player can switch between the two types of slime at any time.

Red slime is fired by pressing the up arrow key, and green slime is fired by pressing the down arrow key. The player can also move the Slimeblower left and right by pressing the left and right arrow keys.

The Slimeblower can only hold a limited amount of slime, so the player must be careful not to run out. The player can replenish their slime supply by picking up slime canisters that are dropped by enemies.

The game is divided into levels, each of which is populated by a different type of enemy. The first level is populated by flying enemies, the second level is populated by ground-based enemies, and the third level is populated by a mix of both.

The game gets progressively more difficult as the player progresses, with more and more enemies appearing on the screen at once. The player must also contend with enemy bullets, which can destroy the Slimeblower if they hit it.

The player starts the game with three lives, and can lose a life if they are hit by an enemy bullet or if they run out of slime. When the player loses all of their lives, the game is over.

Slime is a challenging and addictive game that is sure to keep players hooked for hours on end. So what are you waiting for? Give it a try today!
