Splitterwelten

Splitterwelten is a video game in the action genre and published by Magellan Consulting Neue Medien GmbH originally released in 1997. It is currently playable on DOS.

In Splitterwelten an entire solar system was nuked. Now the splinters of the five planets float through space and are inhabited by rival clans who have no other goal than to claim the entire splinter for themselves. The player controls one of these clans.

Both the player and the computer have several characters at their disposal. The objective is to drive all enemies out of the sliver. But, of course, they fight back. So the strategy to choose is to push an enemy with two people. He can't counterattack both and is pushed to one side. In addition to the standard fighters there are strong and fast characters. The strong ones can push two enemies at the same time.

The slopes bring another tactical component to the table: A character that pushes down has an advantage over his enemy. Eventually the edges of the sliver break. There are 50 levels to solve. In multiplayer mode there are another 50 levels to play with a second player. Beating both modes unlocks a level editor.
